Terry plans 6th annual Live Nativity for Dec. 19

Actors, both human and animal, portray the Christmas story during the 2018 Prairie County Chamber of Commerce Live Nativity. This year will mark the sixth year of the program.

The Prairie County Chamber of Commerce in Terry will offer for its sixth year the Live Nativity program. This year it will be Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m..

Volunteers from the community will depict the Christmas story with costumed actors, live animals and music. The program runs approximately 45 minutes and will be located between the Prairie County Museum and the Evelyn Cameron Gallery on South Logan Street, one block north of Stockman Bank. Limited seating is available, and participants are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and warm blankets.

In the five years that the program has been held approximately 100 people from Terry and the surrounding towns attend each year. Members of the community come together to make the event happen – from cutting pine boughs, to lighting up the star, to opening the museum, to bringing sheep, goats, a donkey and other animals, as well as portraying the Christmas story through costume and acting.
